Unfortunately, we are unable to close down jobs on every job board that they have been posted to. This is because of the network of job boards and media that share your job on our behalf. In many cases, there will be dozens of advertising channels hosting your advert that we are unaware of.
To overcome this issue, you can create an email template to send automatically to candidates, to explain the position they have applied for is on hold or closed. Follow How to Create and Edit Email Templates for help creating an email template. This provides a professional solution and you also benefit by adding more candidate CVs to your database.
Sometimes we see applications coming in weeks after a job has closed. This could be because a job board has re-advertised your job unintentionally or accidentally, and subsequently the aggregators have scraped it and reposted it again. This is always beyond our control and we recommend listing the close date for applications inside the job advert itself.
